The Poacher Newsletter January/February 2017

Dear villagers,

Happy New Year to you all and may I start for thanking you all for your support in 2016.
Firstly, let me apologise for not posting Newsletters for the last couple of months, the pub has been very busy and due to some business and some personal reasons I have been up to my eyes in things. But a new year is now upon us and you have so much to look forward to at The Elsworth Poacher.

The Poacher September 2016 Newsletter

Dear villagers,

Another month fly’s by and we have our Christmas Menu attracting loads of interest on the Web Site. August has been a steady month at The Elsworth Poacher with holiday time in full swing, but saying that we had some really well received events throughout the month.

The Poacher August 2016 Newsletter

Dear villagers,

Another busy month has passed and we have finally seen some sunshine, our family barbeque was held in glorious weather and the Indian Cuisine Evening was another fantastic success. July’s Quiz had slightly less people than normal but was still an excellent evening and it was great to see some new faces, our Folk Evening on the last Monday of every month just gets better and better, I really would recommend people coming down to this as it is such a pleasant event and is really worth a listen (This months: Monday 29th August).

The Poacher June 2016 Newsletter

Dear villagers,

Please first let me apologise for the lateness of this Newsletter and for not producing one for May, things have been so busy here at The Poacher which I suppose is no bad thing!

So the tenancy agreement is now signed so I am looking forward to the next five years in Elsworth and hopefully longer, I must thank everyone for their huge support and making it a very easy decision to complete the deal, the pub is looking great with the garden finally fully open with beautiful Flower baskets, tubs and boxes all taking shape and making The Poacher look absolutely stunning, in fact we have been entered in a ‘Pub in Bloom’ Competition. I must say a big thank you to Rob for all his hard work on the garden, he is from the village and I would highly recommend him.

New menu at the Poacher

This Thursday we will be launching the new Summer Lunch & Evening Menu at The Elsworth Poacher.

Some fantastic new dishes will be available and will be on our website from Wednesday Evening.

We look forward to you booking a table with us over the next few days.

The Poacher April 2016 Newsletter

Dear villagers,

Well the first month has raced by since our arrival in Elsworth and may I say what a fantastic month it has been!

Food is now firmly up and running and I am glad to say has been received extremely well, our Lunchtime trade is building superbly and our Evening trade could not have started any better. Sunday Roasts are now being served also, thank you so much for the lovely comments that everyone has made about the menus and food over the last couple of weeks.

We have a nice little team building here at The Poacher with Gary Ilife joining us as the Chef to work alongside me and Heather Oglesby my trusted friend looking after my day off. A big thank you to Ethan, Rachel, Grace and Lauren who have come on board for all their hard work in the opening month, it really has been appreciated.
