Where is our Summer? Well, let us hope it comes soon as we are hoping to hold some regular Barbeques throughout the next couple of months!
Welcome to July’s Newsletter and once again let me start by thanking people for their support through June with both our South American Food Evening and The Big Summer Quiz going down a storm!
This month has loads to offer and we start with an Indian Cuisine Evening on Saturday 9th, as I am writing this we already have over 20 bookings so please get in touch quickly if you would like a table. The Theme Evenings are proving very popular and we have some very exciting ideas for future months such as a Caribbean Buffet Night for August.
Saturday 23rd July is the next date for the diary as we are holding a Family Barbeque Afternoon from 2pm until 6pm. Burgers, Hotdogs and Kebabs will be on the menu with some lovely side dishes. So bring the family along and let us hope we enjoy the sunshine.
Something I have forgotten to mention each month is the wonderful Folk Music Evening that is held on the last Monday of every month. Helen, Tim and Caroline from The Elsworth AMC host a lovely evening of poetry and music, it is really a lot of fun and I would love to see more people come along and support the night. Monday 25th sees this month’s get together.
The final date for the calendar is Saturday 30th July as we hold our monthly Quiz Night, as you all know by now there is always a theme and this time it is on Entertainment, so swot up on Music, Television, Radio and Theatre and as a fun addition we are asking everyone to come dressed up as their favourite Entertainer! A prize of a Bottle of Prosecco will be given to the best Team effort. The quiz always books out and once again last month we had to turn people away, so please book a table as soon as possible and please please let us know if you wish to have food on the evening also!!!
The new Summer Food Menu is going down fantastically well and word is spreading fast regarding the Rebirth of the Elsworth Poacher, we have revamped our Burgers and they are now an absolute show stopper, our ethos of local suppliers and English produce is also becoming recognised in the area and greatly admired. Myself and Chef (Gary) take a lot of time sourcing produce and looking at the menu and we are very pleased that it has been received with such positivity.
Looking forward we are very happy to be involved with the Elsworth Show and hope that next year we will be a much bigger part of it, also a Beer Festival could well round off the Summer. Ideas for Halloween, Bonfire Night and would you believe Christmas are also well into the planning stage (the Christmas Menu is actually on the website) so as usual there is so much going on down at your Elsworth Poacher!!!
So let me say goodbye for this month and look forward to seeing you all throughout July
Best wishes David, Gary and Roscko
